This album takes my breath away! ♥️
The first time I listened to these songs I knew it would be a special album to me, but even more so because everyone involved is an absolute beauty!
When Dallas and Matt came back after having recorded Alexisonfire‘s new album „Otherness“, they brought a bunch of super talented gents with them to bring life to these beautiful songs, while Darren‘s and my job was to capture these special performances ✨
So excited for „The Love Still Held Me Near“ to have been released so everyone can listen to these songs with all the emotions they evoke ⭐️

If you can‘t believe how awesome the Standstills are live, you have to see them in one of their upcoming shows, because the crowd goes insane! The video perfectly captures the vibe and how there is no way you can‘t enjoy yourself while listening to the music 🤘♥️
In fact, I‘m not sure there was even any time I was sitting still when recording them, bc my body just had to move 💃

The Love Still Held Me Near was born out of unimaginable loss and the journey through the grief and heartache that followed. It’s about digging deep down into yourself in an attempt to unearth hope and light in the things that can comfort you through those times.

Writing and recording music has always been a way for me to deal with the turbulence that life sometimes throws at you. I hope this album resonates with you however you may need it.

On top of that, they also have the 18th most played song on the radio with ‘Lifetime’ 🤯

I knew that the Three Days Grace show is gonna be amazing, because it always is, but thanks to Janin I got up on stage (first time ever!) to sing and rock out (when I forgot the lyrics)🤘🤘
I always wanted to be behind the console to hide while doing music, but being on stage for the first time was crazy and wayyy too much fun!
